Allison Jordan - Special Guest
Allison Jordan is Director of Environmental Affairs for Wine Institute, a public policy advocacy association of more than 1,000 California wineries and affiliated businesses. She also serves as Executive Director of the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance, a non-governmental organization incorporated in 2003 by Wine Institute and the California Association of Winegrape Growers to promote environmental stewardship and social responsibility in the state’s wine community. Jordan represents the Institute as a plenary member of the California Environmental Dialogue, a group comprised of national and statewide environmental organizations, key federal, state, and local environmental regulators, and business groups, industries and corporations engaged in formal dialogue about improved environmental protection in the state. Since 2001, she has been a fellow in the German Marshall Fund's American Marshall Memorial Fellowship program, designed to create a network of European and American leaders knowledgeable about transatlantic relations and public policy issues through on-going exchanges in Europe and the U.S. She holds a Masters degree from the Goldman School of Public Policy at UC Berkeley and a Psychology B.A. from Allegheny College in Meadville, PA.

The Programme
The seminar is conducted for small groups of a maximum of 30 participants.
The lectures include presentations, interaction between participants and the presenter, as well as enough time for Q & A.
The tasting session features wines from differente regions and varieties.
These wines reflect the impacts of climate change and show some varieties with the potential to adapt to higher temperatures, drought, etc.
Extensive instructional material is given to the participants in the form of CD Roms, DVD and audiovisual material.
